Basic Human Factors in Crash Reconstruction

This course is designed to introduce crash investigators, technicians, and crash reconstructionist to various driver response research in emergency situations as well as introduce them to research dealing with non-immediate responses also. Te attendee should have a thorough understanding of Time and Distance formulas on how to calculate speed in moving situations as well as to/from a stop situation, and constant speed situations. The goal is to introduce attendees to the foundations of driver response research, specifically, response times and nighttime recognition distances. The class is designed to meter out the tremendous amount of information between stories and examples that reinforce learning.
